Leadership Madison County has been developed by the Madison County Chamber of Commerce to create an educational program that we believe has helped form the successful economic Madison County of today. Through the efforts of current business leaders and past program graduates, Leadership Madison County continues to help shape the future of this county through a cooperative effort to educate its leaders and to create an environment that allows program participants to connect with each other and to experience the diversity of the people and economic opportunities in Madison County.
Program participants will have the opportunity to meet and converse with a broad range of community leaders including those involved in local and state government, healthcare, politics, law and order, education, and community services. Participants will also learn about the history of the county and it diverse population.
Participants will learn leadership and team building skills that will enhance their relationships with other participants as well as provide insight for improving their work and business relationships.
Participants will be made aware of the needs of the county and will have the opportunity to develop community projects to respond to those needs. By doing so, it is the goal of this program to teach community leaders that giving back to the community is an important component of a developing a strong and successful economic environment.
